Community Involvement

MARTKET’S Commitment to

Community Involvement

Giving back through hands-on community involvement and environmental action.

At Martket, we believe being part of a community means contributing to it. Through volunteer initiatives, local partnerships, and ongoing support for organizations making a difference, our team is committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. From neighborhood and shoreline cleanups to supporting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, we’re proud to contribute our time and resources to initiatives that create a positive local impact.

Neighbourhood & Shoreline Cleanups

A partnership by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Ocean Wise, The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national conservation program that provides Canadians the opportunity to take action in their communities wherever water meets land, one bit of trash at a time.

Greater Vancouver Food Bank

Martket regularly group volunteers at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank evaluating and sorting food donations for those who need access to quality, nutritious food.

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank provides assistance to approximately 8,500 people weekly through 13 locations across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. 25% of recipients are children and youth, 22% are seniors. The GVFB also provides food support to approximately 80 community agencies throughout these communities, who in turn provide meals and snacks to thousands of people each week.
