Eco Packaging Alliance
Martket is a member of the Eco Packaging Alliance committed to environmentally sustainable packaging and is an inaugural industry partner of noissue, promoting compostable, recycled and reusable packaging. Martket’s partnership with noissue also contributes to global reforestation, with trees planted for every order.
office Recycling Services
EcoAction Recycling
Martket maintains an eco-friendly office with EcoAction office recycling services, including in-office solutions for organics & compost, mixed container recycling, and paper & cardboard recycling.
EcoAction Recycling was started solely on a concern for our planet and a new way of doing business within the waste management sector. As a trusted local recycling company, EcoAction strives to be a part of a larger network of forward thinking businesses that put climate change and sustainability at the forefront of our business practices.
Textile Waste ReUse Centre
Fabcycle
Martket has donated over 10,000 yards of deadstock fabric to FABCYCLE to circulate these materials back into use. FABCYCLE is a collection service of textile waste that works directly with local apparel manufacturers like factories, fashion designers and schools to collect the scraps, off-cuts, deadstock and ends of rolls that are left during the apparel production process and reuse or recycle what they cannot use. FABCYCLE’s mission is to divert textile waste from the landfill by finding creative solutions, promoting the sustainable mindset of waste as a resource.

Nespresso Ecolaboration™ Recycling
One of our Martket Perks is a Nespresso Vertuo coffee station and Nespresso certified Fairtrade coffee. We chose Nespresso, a Certified BCorp, for their AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program and shared values of creating “The Positive Cup,” a commitment to delivering long-term positive impact for farmers, society and the environment.
Martket also participates in Nespresso’s capsule recycling program. Through Nespresso’s Ecolaboration™ with Canada Post, capsules are shipped to a partner where they undergo a technological process, the first of its kind in Canada, which mechanically separates the coffee grounds from the aluminium. The aluminium is repurposed into various objects and the coffee grounds are transformed into a high-quality compost, used by farms, at no additional cost to citizens or municipalities.
Writing Instrument Recycling Program
TerraCycle®
Through TerraCycle’s Writing Instrument Recycling Program, Martket recycles used pens, markers, highlighters, and other writing instruments that are typically non-recyclable through traditional methods. Once collected, these items are cleaned and separated by material type, and the materials are then recycled into raw formats that manufacturers use to create new products.
HP Planet Partners Recycling
Martket participates in Hewlett Packard’s closed-loop cartridge recycling process, being part of a more circular, sustainable system by recycling HP Ink and Toner supplies with HP Planet Partners, so they become new products and don’t end up in oceans or landfills.
